Holding Past Learning Recognition Socialization, Uniga Ready to Implement SIERRA

Located in the Postgraduate Hall, Building C, Gajayana University (Uniga) Malang, all University Leaders, Deans, Heads of Study Programs, and Prospective Assessors took part in the Socialization of Recognition of Past Learning (RPL). This activity was held to improve the quality and entity of prospective students who wish to pursue further education at Uniga with the effectiveness of their lecture period.

Apart from being a requirement for the administration of private universities, this RPL socialization refers to the Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 41 of 2021 concerning Recognition of Past Learning, and Regulations, as well as Regulation of the Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology number 162/E /KPT/2022 of 2022 concerning Technical Instructions for the Implementation of Postgraduate Studies in Universities that Provide Academic Education.

Acting as a speaker in this socialization is Dr. Drs. Amirul Mustafa., M.Si. (Deputy Chancellor 1 of Dr. Soetomo University). RPL Manager at Dr. University. Soetomo conveyed the essence regarding the E-Recommendation System for Recognition of Past Academic Learning (SIERRA)

"We are trying to learn from Dr. Soetomo University which has implemented RPL for 1.5 years, what is the overall picture of its practice in the field, especially the 2 main parts related to organization, regulations, and including the technical operations of SIERRA," said the Deputy Chancellor 1 for Field Academic and General, Drs. Gunadi, M.Sc., Ph.D.

Furthermore, Dr. Amirul Mustafa in his presentation emphasized the importance of collaboration between faculties and universities. Recognition of Past Learning is the solution taken to accommodate prospective students who are already working to continue their education through conversion to the Semester Credit System (SKS). Bertempat di Aula Pascasarjana Gedung C Universitas Gajayana (Uniga) Malang, segenap Pimpinan Universitas, Dekan, Ketua Prodi, dan Calon Asessor mengikuti Sosialisasi Rekognisi Pembelajaran Lampau (RPL). Kegiatan ini diadakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan entitas calon mahasiswa yang ingin menempuh pendidikan lanjutan di Uniga dengan efektifitas masa perkuliahan.

Selain sebagai kebutuhan penyelenggaraan Perguruan Tinggi Swasta, sosialisasi RPL ini merujuk pada Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset dan Teknologi RI Nomor 41 tahun 2021 tentang Rekognisi Pembelajaran Lampau, dan Peraturan, serta Peraturan Direktur Jendral Pendidikan Tinggi, Riset, dan Teknologi nomor 162/E/KPT/2022 Tahun 2022 Tentang Petunjuk Teknis Penyelenggaraan Lampau Pada Perguruan Tinggi yang Menyelenggarakan Pendidikan Akademis.

Bertindak sebagai pemateri dalam sosialisasi kali ini adalah Dr. Drs. Amirul Mustafa., M.Si. (Wakil Rektor 1 Universitas Dr. Soetomo). Pengelola RPL di lingkup Universitas Dr. Soetomo ini menyampaikan esensii terkait Sistem E-Rekomendasi Rekognisi Pembelajaran Lampau Akademik (SIERRA)

“Kita mencoba belajar dari Universitas Dr.Soetomo yang sudah mengiplementasikan RPL selama 1,5 tahun, bagaimana gambaran menyeluruh prakteknya di lapamgan, terutama 2 bagian utama yang berkaitan dengan pengorganisasian, peraturan, dan termasuk bagaimana teknis operasional SIERRA” Ujar Wakil Rektor 1 bidang Bidang Akademik dan Umum, Drs.Gunadi, M.Sc., Ph.D.

Lebih jauh Dr. Amirul Mustafa dalam paparannya menekankan pentingnya kerjasama antar Fakultas dan Universitas. Rekognisi Pembelajaran Lampau menjadi jalan keluar yang ditempuh dalam mewadahi calon mahasiswa yang sudah bekerja untuk melanjutkan pendidikannya melalui konversi Sistem Kredit Semester (SKS). (key)
